Terms of use

These terms govern access to B/ROLL for UGC, including the subscription catalogue, preview library, credit-based clip unlocks, individual licence purchases, and downloads. By using the service or completing checkout, you agree to these terms and the applicable licence terms.

Who may use B/ROLL

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you use B/ROLL for a company or client, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization and that the named brand or product is accurate.

Accounts and access

Google sign-in connects purchases, licences, credits, and downloads to your email address. You are responsible for safeguarding that account, keeping your information accurate, and notifying us promptly of unauthorized activity. Do not share account access, evade catalogue restrictions, or use automation to scrape previews or metadata.

Plans and credits

Monthly plans renew at the price shown at checkout until cancelled. You can manage or cancel renewal through the Stripe billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. One-time passes provide 30 days of non-renewing access and the credits shown at checkout. Plan benefits, included credits, and clip credit costs are shown on the site or at checkout. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and may not be resold. Any expiration or rollover rule presented at purchase forms part of your plan.

Access codes

A valid promotional access code may grant a 30-day pass without payment. Codes require an authenticated account, are limited to one redemption per account, have no cash value, and may not be sold, transferred, or used through automated redemption attempts.

Orders and delivery

Prices and availability are confirmed on the server when checkout begins and again when payment is confirmed. A successful payment creates the controlling order and licence record. Originals are delivered through authenticated, time-limited download links; saving and securing a downloaded file is your responsibility.

Permitted use

Your right to use a clip comes only from its licence record. A subscription, preview, or shortlist does not grant commercial rights. You must follow the named-brand limitation, licence period, exclusivity start date, and prohibited-use rules in the licence terms.

Payments, cancellations, and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Taxes may be added where required. Subscription and digital-licence refunds are governed by our refund policy. If payment is reversed, disputed, or fraudulent, we may suspend access and the related licence to the extent permitted by law.

Intellectual property

B/ROLL and its licensors retain all rights in the service, catalogue, previews, site design, and footage except for the limited rights expressly granted in a paid licence. You may not copy or reuse previews, bypass access controls, resell files, build a competing footage library, or use catalogue material to train a machine-learning model.

Availability and changes

We may add, update, or remove catalogue items and service features. Removing an item from future sale does not cancel a valid licence already issued. We may update these terms prospectively by posting a new effective date; material changes will not reduce rights already recorded in a paid licence.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access for fraud, infringement, abusive conduct, nonpayment, security risk, or a material breach of these terms. Sections concerning ownership, licence limits, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability continue after termination.

Service disclaimer

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, B/ROLL disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee campaign performance, reach, engagement, platform approval, uninterrupted access, or a particular number of usable outputs from any workflow.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, B/ROLL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption. B/ROLL’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid to B/ROLL during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for your final edit, claims, product demonstration, disclosures, placements, and distribution. You agree to defend and indemnify B/ROLL against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use, your content, your breach of a licence, or your violation of another person’s rights.
