Licence terms

Standard 30-day licence

A standard licence—shown as a “rental” in some order records—is non-exclusive and valid for one named brand or product for 30 calendar days from confirmed payment. During that period, you may edit the footage into organic or paid digital content for that brand, including social posts, advertisements, websites, email, and product pages.

Edits you may make

You may crop, resize, caption, color-grade, trim, sequence, add audio, add graphics, and combine the clip with product footage or other material you are entitled to use. Your edit must not materially misrepresent the person shown or imply a personal statement, testimonial, or endorsement they did not make.

After a standard licence expires

You must stop launching, boosting, reposting, or otherwise newly distributing content containing the clip when the licence expires. You may retain a private archival copy for recordkeeping, but you may not reuse it in a new campaign or placement without a new licence. Platform copies already lawfully posted during the term do not need to be deleted unless the order record states otherwise or we notify you of a rights issue.

Exclusive buyout

An exclusive buyout grants the purchaser an exclusive, non-transferable commercial licence for the named brand or product beginning at the confirmed exclusivity start time. It does not assign copyright. The clip is removed from future sale after confirmation, but standard licences issued earlier remain valid until their recorded expiry dates.

Packages

Packages receive standard 30-day licences only. Each included file has the same named-brand limitation and licence period. A package purchase does not make any included clip exclusive.

Prohibited uses

You may not sell, sublicense, share, redistribute, or publish a clip as a standalone stock asset; make it available in a template, asset library, or downloadable project; copy or reuse preview files; use it for biometric identification or machine-learning training; use it in unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, pornographic, or exploitative content; or use a person’s likeness to imply sensitive personal facts, political support, or an unrecorded testimonial.

No transfer between brands

A licence is limited to the brand or product named at checkout. Agencies may create work for that named client, but may not reuse the clip for another client. A merger, asset sale, or campaign handoff does not transfer the licence without B/ROLL’s written approval.

Rights issues and removal

If we reasonably believe footage may violate copyright, privacy, consent, publicity, or platform rules, we may disable future downloads and ask you to pause new distribution while we investigate. Where appropriate, we may offer replacement footage or a refund under the refund policy. Report concerns through the takedown process.

Records and enforcement

Your library record is evidence of the licence issued. Keep the order confirmation and observe its dates. Use outside the recorded scope is unlicensed; we may terminate the licence for a material breach that is not promptly cured after notice.
