Rights and takedown policy

B/ROLL curates creator footage and takes copyright, consent, privacy, and publicity rights seriously. If you believe a catalogue item or customer use violates your rights, send a complete notice to orders@brollforugc.com with “Rights notice” in the subject line.

Copyright notice

A copyright notice should include:

• Your physical or electronic signature as the owner or authorized representative.
• Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if the notice covers multiple works.
• The exact B/ROLL URL, asset title, customer placement, or other information sufficient to locate the material.
• Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the complained-of use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

Consent, privacy, or likeness concern

If the report concerns the person shown rather than copyright ownership, identify the clip and explain your relationship to the person, the right you believe is affected, where the content appears, and any evidence that will help us verify identity or authority. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless we request a secure method.

What happens after a report

We review complete, credible reports promptly. We may temporarily unpublish a preview, stop future sales, disable downloads, contact the creator or customer, request more information, preserve relevant records, or take other proportionate action while investigating. We will notify affected parties when appropriate.

Counter-notice

If your material was disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, your counter-notice should include your signature; identification and prior location of the material; a statement under penalty of perjury describing your good-faith belief; and your name, address, and telephone number together with the jurisdiction and service-of-process statements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

Repeat or abusive infringement

We may terminate access, end a creator relationship, or permanently remove footage where repeated infringement or deliberate rights violations are established. Knowingly submitting a false or materially misleading notice or counter-notice may create legal liability.

Other requests

This process is for rights concerns about footage or its use. Billing questions belong under the refund policy, and requests concerning your own account data belong under the privacy policy.
